This is hybrid position is located at our corporate office in Westmont, IL and requires 3 days a week onsite

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for leading a team of 5 staff and Sr staff accountants largely focused on operations accounting, with a mix of corporate accounting and consolidations responsibilities owned by the team as well.

• Accounting Leadership : provide accounting guidance and leadership to the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting collaboration.

• Process Improvement: continuously assess and enhance accounting processes, implementing best practices and automation solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.

• Team Management: recruit, train and mentor accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring they meet their performance and personal development goals.

• Stakeholder Communication: collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights to department heads and executives, supporting informed decision-making.

• Project Management: lead and oversee key accounting-related projects focused on process improvement, system implementation, and internal controls. Develop project plans, define goals, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a management or leadership role.

• CPA preferred.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.

• Strong analytical and organization skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communications, problem solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in MS Products such as Excel.
