Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This position is ideal for someone who can keep records accurate, manage core accounting tasks efficiently, and contribute to smooth month-end processes. The right candidate will be comfortable working with QuickBooks and handling payables, receivables, reconciliations, and inventory-related accounting activities.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and organizing supporting documentation.

Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outstanding obligations to keep accounts payable current.

Prepare and issue customer invoices, apply incoming payments, and follow up on open balances within accounts receivable.

Reconcile bank and account activity regularly to identify discrepancies and ensure balances are correct.

Use QuickBooks to manage bookkeeping entries, generate routine financial reports, and support reporting accuracy.

Track inventory-related accounting activity and help maintain reliable records for stock valuation and related transactions.

Assist with month-end close tasks by reviewing ledgers, verifying entries, and resolving inconsistencies in a timely manner. Requirements Experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping duties in a detail-focused business environment.

Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence navigating day-to-day accounting functions within the system.

Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.

Ability to maintain accurate records, prioritize multiple deadlines, and handle financial data with care.

Familiarity with inventory accounting and its impact on financial recordkeeping.

Strong attention to detail and solid numerical accuracy in transactional work.
