Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a large non-profit in the Iowa City area. This position will play an important role in managing end-to-end payroll activities across multiple states while helping maintain compliance with company policies and payroll regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with ADP, and the ability to resolve discrepancies with precision.

Responsibilities:

Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of more than 400 employees, ensuring all payments are completed accurately and on schedule.

Administer payroll activities across multiple states while applying applicable wage, tax, and compliance requirements.

Use ADP to maintain payroll records, review entries, and support regular payroll processing tasks.

Reconcile payroll data by investigating variances, correcting discrepancies, and validating final results before submission.

Review earnings, deductions, taxes, and time-related inputs to confirm completeness and accuracy for each payroll cycle.

Partner with internal stakeholders to address payroll questions, resolve issues, and provide clear updates on processing outcomes.

Assist with payroll-related process updates or system-related changes when needed as part of ongoing operational support.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience handling full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing is a plus

Prior experience working with large amounts of data within Excel.

Strong reconciliation skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.

Solid understanding of payroll principles, deductions, taxes, and standard reporting practices.

High attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under recurring deadlines.
