Staff Accountant Temporary Assignment

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a 56 month temporary assignment with a manufacturing company. This position will support daily accounting operations while the internal accounting team focuses on an upcoming SAP implementation. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of general accounting functions.

The selected candidate will receive training during the first two months to ensure they can independently manage daily accounting responsibilities throughout the implementation process.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Prepare and post journal entries.

• Assist with profit and loss (P&L) reporting and account reconciliations.

• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

• Utilize Excel for financial reporting, data analysis, and account tracking.

• Support month-end close activities and other general accounting duties.

• Help maintain smooth department operations during the SAP implementation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role.

• Manufacturing industry experience required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Working knowledge of AP/AR, journal entries, and P&L reporting.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently after training while managing multiple priorities.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (AX) is a plus.

• Experience with SAP is beneficial but not required.

Additional Details

• Temporary assignment lasting approximately 56 months.

• Target start date around November 1, 2026.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
