Hospice RN - Lake Charles, LAAdecco USA

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospice After-Hours contract in Lake Charles, LA. This role involves providing after-hours nursing care to hospice patients, responding to urgent patient needs, and supporting patients and families throughout the coverage area.

Job Details

• Location: Lake Charles, LA, and surrounding areas within a 60-mile radius

• Pay: $53 to $55.90/hr

• Schedule: MondayFriday, 4:30 PM8:00 AM, with FridayMonday, 24-hour coverage

• Mileage: Reimbursed between patient visits

• On-Call/Weekend: No additional on-call or weekend requirements beyond the scheduled coverage

• Dress Code: Scrubs

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary after-hours nurse for hospice patients.

• Respond to urgent and after-hours patient care needs.

• Conduct patient visits as needed to assess conditions and provide appropriate nursing care.

• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice care team.

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and care provided.

• Support comfort, symptom management, and continuity of care in accordance with hospice guidelines.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Previous hospice nursing experience.

• Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and PointCare.

• Strong patient assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills.

• Ability to travel throughout the assigned coverage area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous overnight or after-hours hospice nursing experience.

• Strong independent decision-making and time management skills.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $55.90 per hour
