Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a client in Sanford, Maine. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity offering consistent hours, with interviews available to begin the same week. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and a strong background in maintaining accurate records across payables, receivables, payroll, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

Maintain complete and accurate financial records by entering, reviewing, and organizing daily transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Process vendor invoices and outgoing payments while ensuring accounts payable activity is recorded correctly and on schedule.

Track incoming payments, apply receipts, and follow up as needed to keep accounts receivable current.

Assist with payroll administration by preparing and recording payroll-related information with a high level of accuracy.

Reconcile bank accounts on a routine basis to identify discrepancies and keep balances aligned with financial records.

Support general bookkeeping activities by reviewing data for accuracy and helping maintain organized accounting documentation. Requirements Previous bookkeeping experience in a permanent business environment.

Proficiency using QuickBooks Online for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.

Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll support functions.

Experience performing bank reconciliations and resolving routine account discrepancies.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage financial data accurately.

Ability to work a 40-hour per week schedule in a dependable and organized manner.
