Job Summary

As we drive towards our vision to be the destination for all things home, we have the opportunity to drive customer growth, efficiently and effectively, through marketing analytics and data science integrations.  The Marketing Analytics and Data Science Integration team (MADSI) enables marketing science transformations, from idea generation to PoC, which drive business outcomes through fast time to value solutions. As a centralized service, we partner with marketing leads to build ideas and business use cases, and work with MarTech, Data Engineering, and Data Science leads to align on solutions and roadmaps.  We prototype ideas to provide business justification and validate long run plans for scalability, automation, and operationalization.   The scope of the team includes customer analytics, channel platform optimization and measurement, data science integrations, and technical platform optimization initiatives, many that have cross channel applications.  Team members have strong quantitative analysis skills and enjoy coding, but balance that with interest in and knowledge of marketing business problems, looking for solutions by applying advanced modeling techniques. They think critically to tackle complex challenges, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are seeking a high-growth opportunity where they will have an immediate impact on day one. There are significant opportunities for new team members to emerge as leaders, taking on additional projects and responsibilities with strong performance. *What Youll Do:* * Collaborate with marketing leads, MarTech, data engineering, and data science to identify and lead the most impactful ways for data and analytics to drive decision making and accelerate profitable growth. * Leverage advanced analytics techniques such as customer segmentation and predictive modeling to better understand customer journeys and behaviors and inform marketing strategy and decisions. * Develop, enhance, use and champion marketing data science models to drive business outcomes. * Become the subject matter expert for data, analytics, and testing for your area to ensure accurate and proper interpretation of core business metrics and consumer behavior. * Optimize and automate code that massages information from multi-terabyte data sources including marketing, sales, clickstream, product, and customer databases to deliver business insights and recommendations. * Design, execute and analyze A/B tests to make high-impact changes to the customer experience. * Solve critical and complex business problems by sharing recommendations and deploying tools that use combinations of deep dive analysis, advanced analytics, models, and visualizations. *What You'll Need:* * Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or other quantitative discipline; Masters preferred. * 2+ years of work experience in a relevant field, such as analytics or data science. * Proficient in statistical programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, or SPSS as well as SQL (incl. Aggregate functions, joins, etc.). * Experience with big, complex data and big data technologies (Google Big Query) and using modeling algorithms to derive business insights. * Experience with experimental test design such as A/B testing. * Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Google Data Studio, Tableau, PowerBI); experience with Looker a plus. * Strong written and verbal communication. * Ecommerce or retail analytics experience a plus.   Note - This is a hybrid role based out of our Boston office (4 days/week in office, 1 day/week remote) *Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities* Wayfair is fully committed to providing equal opportunities for all individuals, including individuals with disabilities.
