Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Peabody, Massachusetts. This role focuses on maintaining accurate receivables activity, applying incoming payments, and coordinating with customers to resolve outstanding balances. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage billing and cash activity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records to support timely payment activity.

Apply incoming payments to the appropriate accounts and research discrepancies to ensure cash is posted correctly.

Monitor open balances, follow up with commercial customers, and manage collection efforts with close attention to detail.

Review daily cash activity and reconcile transactions to keep account information current and accurate.

Investigate billing questions, resolve account issues, and partner with internal teams to address payment-related concerns.

Prepare receivables reports and communicate account status updates to support informed financial decision-making. Requirements Experience handling accounts receivable functions in a business or corporate environment.

Working knowledge of cash application processes and daily cash activity management.

Background in commercial collections with the ability to communicate effectively with customers regarding past-due accounts.

Familiarity with billing procedures and resolving invoice-related discrepancies.

Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail when managing financial records.

Proficiency with accounting systems and standard business software, including spreadsheets.
