Your Mission: 

Develop and implement quality systems/processes related to new programs and projects, design and implement operational metrics to support day-to-day product quality systems, resolving quality issues, development of measurement systems to meet customer requirements, and facilitating continuous improvement activities.


Requirements:

 

Explore the Depth of the Role: (Job Duties/responsibilities) 

  • Follow up of corrective action reports, including customer complaints.
  • Calibration system maintenance.
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), including PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan creation.
  • Inspection and Test. 
  • Review and submittal of objective quality evidence per customer requirements.
  • Facilitate Continual Improvement efforts (e.g., six sigma as a green or black belt).
  • Reports to Quality Manager and/or Quality Director regarding activities listed above.
  • Responsible for ensuring ongoing product quality and reporting concerns as they arise. Accountable for the timely completion of tasks.
  • All other related duties as assigned. 

Mission Readiness: (Education and Experience/skills/abilities): 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4-year degree in related quality field desirable.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Quality Assurance functions, with adequate experience solving problems, process improvement, and using inspection and test equipment.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Technician, or Engineer. 6 Sigma Green Belt or above is desired.
  • Problem solving, lean 6 Sigma training, Project Management, inspection & test, metrology, and calibration, drawing reading & interpretation (GD&T), statistical methods.
  • Good planning, organizational, and communications skills required.
  • Above average computer skills.
  • Organizational & motivational abilities.
  • Works well with others.
  • Able to multi-task and establish priorities. 

Travel Requirements: 

  • Occasional travel between facilities as needed. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly. 
  • May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
