Job Description

We are hiring MIG Welders for full-time positions in the Waconia/Norwood area. This is a great opportunity for welders who enjoy custom fabrication and want to work on a variety of projects rather than repetitive production welding.

You will be welding and fabricating custom equipment using mild steel and stainless steel. Projects include tanks, bins, conveyors, mixers, and other large industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild and stainless steel
• Weld material ranging from approximately 1/16" to 1/4"
• Work with sheet metal, plate, pipe, and structural components
• Read and follow blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Perform flat, vertical, and overhead welds
• Fit and fabricate custom components
• Use flux-core and hardwire welding equipment
• Inspect completed welds for quality
• Work around and inside large tanks when needed

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience
• Experience welding mild steel and/or stainless steel
• Ability to read blueprints
• Comfortable with custom fabrication
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Comfortable working in different welding positions
• Welding school, certificate, or diploma is a plus, but not required with relevant experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
