Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Wentzville, Missouri.

Overview

The maintenance supervisor is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining long-range plans for the improvement of maintenance activities. They provide technical assistance to manufacturing departments and oversee the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment supporting key initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement and actively support safety policies, initiatives, and housekeeping standards.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and initiate corrective actions.
• Support plant goals related to safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost.
• Supervise construction and maintenance projects.
• Assist in implementing divisional and corporate policies.
• Maintain schedule and quality requirements.
• Train, develop, and evaluate employees.
• Ensure compliance with labor agreements and policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve issues.
• Implement planned maintenance activities within budget and manpower constraints.
• Support the maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery including press systems with robotic loading/unloading and automation components.
• Collaborate with production and quality departments, providing flexible support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (mechanical or electrical engineering degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose root causes and develop corrective plans.
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems such as Maxmo.
• Ability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility.
• Experience with automotive manufacturing is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical skills from metalworking backgrounds or small shops.

Shift

The candidate must be flexible working any shift, with a schedule running Monday through Saturday, including Sundays every other week. Shifts include first (5:45am-3pm CST), second (1:45pm-11pm CST), and third (9:45pm-7am CST). Overtime is estimated at 55 to 60 hours per week.
