Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations for a Contract position based in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The role focuses on maintaining organized financial records, processing transactions efficiently, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day bookkeeping functions.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

Handle outgoing payments and vendor invoices while maintaining accurate accounts payable records.

Manage customer billing, payment posting, and account follow-up activities related to accounts receivable.

Reconcile credit card transactions and investigate discrepancies to keep financial data current and accurate.

Maintain bookkeeping records in QuickBooks and ensure transactions are entered correctly and on time.

Review account activity regularly to support balanced ledgers and dependable financial reporting.

Assist with bank and account reconciliations to confirm the accuracy of financial transactions.

Organize supporting documentation and maintain clear records for routine accounting and bookkeeping processes.

Requirements

Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Experience completing bank and credit card reconciliations with strong attention to detail.

Ability to manage financial records accurately and maintain organized documentation.

Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a contract role.
