Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification or credential appropriate for practice
• Working knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, radiopharmaceutical handling, and radiation safety practices
• Ability to provide attentive, compassionate patient care while maintaining safety and comfort
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for nuclear medicine examinations and explain procedures as appropriate
• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established safety and handling protocols
• Monitor patients physical condition throughout procedures and promptly report concerns
• Monitor nuclear medicine equipment operation and complete appropriate scanning setup
• Perform diagnostic imaging examinations accurately while maintaining patient privacy, safety, and comfort
• Support efficient workflow within the radiology and nuclear medicine department
