Description

We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to support a time-sensitive accounting project for a manufacturing organization in Morristown, New Jersey. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity with a primarily on-site schedule, offering the chance to build hands-on experience in a structured, process-driven environment. The position is well suited for someone who is comfortable working with high volumes of financial data, values accuracy, and communicates clearly while collaborating with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

Assist with moving financial information from a legacy platform into a newer accounting system while maintaining data integrity

Review large sets of accounting data and verify entries for completeness, consistency, and accuracy

Perform account analysis and support reconciliation activities to help confirm balances and resolve discrepancies

Follow established workflows and documentation standards to complete repetitive tasks with precision and timeliness

Use Excel and accounting systems to organize, track, and validate financial records throughout the project

Partner with team members to communicate progress, raise issues promptly, and support project deadlines

Contribute to accounts payable and other general accounting activities as needed during the assignment

Requirements Prior exposure to accounting processes, including account reconciliation, account analysis, or journal entry support

Working knowledge of accounting software systems and the ability to learn new tools quickly

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for sorting, reviewing, and managing financial data

Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy in transactional work

Comfortable handling repetitive, process-oriented assignments involving numbers and large data sets

Clear written and verbal communication skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams

Ability to remain organized and follow defined procedures in an on-site work environment
