Description

Our client in Melville, New York is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist to support day-to-day accounting and payroll functions. Based on general knowledge.

This role is ideal for a professional with experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, reconciliations, and general accounting support who is looking for a flexible, part-time schedule. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP. Based on general knowledge.

  • Maintain payroll records and assist with related reporting. Based on general knowledge.

  • Handle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Based on general knowledge.

  • Prepare journal entries and support general ledger maintenance. Based on general knowledge.

  • Review financial records, identify discrepancies, and help resolve issues. Based on general knowledge.

  • Assist with month-end close and other accounting-related activities. Based on general knowledge.

  • Utilize QuickBooks and ADP to maintain accurate financial and payroll records. Based on general knowledge.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in financial and payroll data. Based on general knowledge.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping and payroll required. Based on general knowledge.

  • Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, and Microsoft Excel preferred. Based on general knowledge.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Based on general knowledge.

  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively. Based on general knowledge.
