Description

Our client, an established retail company, is seeking a Contract Payroll Specialist to join its payroll team. This position will support payroll operations across multiple retail locations, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and part-time employees.

• Audit timecards and attendance records.

• Ensure accurate calculation of overtime, holiday pay, commissions, and incentive pay.

• Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance reporting.

• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and deductions.

• Maintain employee payroll files and confidential records.

• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner.

• Assist with onboarding payroll setup and employee status changes.

• Support month-end and year-end payroll reporting.

• Participate in payroll audits and process improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of payroll experience.

• Experience supporting multi-location payroll preferred.

• Retail, hospitality, restaurant, or similar high-volume workforce experience preferred.

• Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, and benefit deductions.

• Proficiency with Excel and payroll software.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
