Travel Registered Nurse Operating Room (OR RN) | Toledo, Ohio

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Toledo, Ohio 43608
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030$2,360
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 10-hour day shifts; approximately 10:30 a.m.8:00 p.m.
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, plus call 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 6 weeks
• Work Setting: On-site Operating Room with 18 operating rooms
• Clinical Volume: Approximately 4050 surgical starts per day, with volume typically slowing in the late afternoon
• Case Mix: Endoscopy, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, vascular, general surgery, spine, ENT, neurology, and robotic procedures
• Operating Room Technology: EPIC Optime, Stealth Navigation for neurosurgery, robotic surgery platforms, and equipment supporting total joint procedures

Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Strong neuro and/or orthopedic surgical experience preferred
• Previous Level I trauma service experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Successful completion of a required dysrhythmia examination; study materials are available
• Ability to work the required weekday, call, and weekend schedule
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the worksite are not eligible for this travel nursing opportunity

OR Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, knowledgeable Registered Nurse care throughout the perioperative process
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and sterile fields for a wide variety of surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and the broader perioperative team
• Support procedures across general, orthopedic, spine, vascular, urologic, ENT, podiatric, neurologic, and robotic specialties
• Maintain adherence to aseptic technique, patient safety standards, and surgical time-out procedures
• Monitor patient needs, anticipate procedural requirements, and respond effectively in a fast-paced Operating Room environment
• Participate in scheduled call coverage and provide timely support for urgent surgical cases
