Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support a busy finance team within an organization in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing a large volume of invoices, maintaining accuracy under deadlines, and keeping payment activity organized. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to day-to-day accounting operations by ensuring vendor invoices are reviewed, coded, and processed efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and within established timelines.

Review invoice details, assign correct accounting codes, and route items appropriately for approval.

Prepare and complete regular check runs while verifying payment amounts and supporting documentation.

Maintain organized accounts payable records and ensure invoice documentation is complete and accessible.

Reconcile invoice and payment discrepancies by communicating with vendors and internal team members.

Monitor outstanding payables and follow up on pending approvals to help keep payments on schedule.

Support day-to-day accounts payable operations by identifying issues and helping improve processing efficiency.

Requirements At least 2 years of hands-on accounts payable experience.

Proven ability to manage high-volume invoice processing with strong attention to detail.

Experience coding invoices accurately in accordance with accounting procedures.

Familiarity with preparing check runs and handling payment documentation.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Clear communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Proficiency with standard accounting or ERP systems and basic spreadsheet use.
