As the Accounts Payable Specialist your duties will include but aren't limited too;

Manage the timely entry, review, and coding of vendor invoices while ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate.

Coordinate payment processing activities, including ACH transactions, check runs, and other disbursement methods, to help maintain on-time supplier payments.

Reconcile vendor statements, investigate invoice or payment discrepancies, and respond to supplier questions with professionalism and accuracy.

Generate customer invoices, apply incoming payments, and keep account records current across checks, wire transfers, credit cards, and electronic payments.

Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on past-due balances, and communicate collection status through regular aging analysis and reporting.

Perform account reconciliations for accounts payable and accounts receivable subledgers and support alignment with the general ledger.

Assist with month-end and year-end close tasks by preparing supporting schedules, resolving open items, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

Partner with internal teams to address billing concerns, payment issues, and documentation gaps while identifying opportunities to improve accounting workflows.

Requirements

The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will have:

Hands-on experience in accounts payable, including invoice coding, account coding, and payment processing.

Working knowledge of accounts receivable activities such as invoicing, cash application, collections, and account reconciliation.

Experience handling ACH payments, check runs, and other common disbursement processes.

Ability to perform three-way matching and review financial documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for reconciliations, reporting, and transaction tracking.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
