Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary:
The part-time shop assistant will support the Mechanical Engineering department lab managers in The College of Engineering. The shop assistant will perform general maintenance, move furniture, set up and break down rooms, and/or organize lab spaces to prepare for the upcoming academic year.
● Maintain order and appearance of the ME Machine shop/ME Labs
● Maintain ME Machine shop equipment, tools, consumables
● Responsibilities as directed by Mechanical Engineering Lab Manager

Physical Demands Summary:
Lab and metal shop environments; must follow all safety protocols and dress codes in place. Lifting, pushing and pulling.
Wage Rate:$13 p/hour
