JOB DESCRIPTION

Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon

Performs echocardiograms, Dobutamine stress echos, treadmill stress testing, and assists with transesophageal echos.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs Echocardiograms using a departmental protocol for obtaining images.
• Assists with TEEs and stress testing, providing images that support the physicians ability to diagnose patients appropriately and identifies problems & implements appropriate interventions, including reporting critical values.
• Sets priorities for completion of studies based on acuity, patient preference and/or the coordination of care with nursing and other ancillary services.
• Obtains EKGs that reflect appropriate lead placement, minimal artifact, and correct patient information.
• Sets up and scans Holter Monitors, providing tracings that support the physicians ability to diagnose patients appropriately.
• Performs related duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Education: Associate degree or professional training preferred.
• Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
  • ARDMS/RCDS or CCI/RCS Certification within 1 year of employment
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of job-related experience is preferred.
