Position Overview

The Host/Greeter serves as the first point of contact for guests dining at Wild Dunes Resorts restaurants. This role is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment, managing reservations and seating, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations. The Host/Greeter ensures a positive guest experience from arrival to departure while representing the resort with professionalism and genuine hospitality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously as they arrive.

• Manage reservations, wait lists, and guest flow using seating charts or reservation systems.

• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.

• Communicate wait times accurately and manage guest expectations.

• Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and providing information about restaurant hours and offerings.

• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure smooth service and efficient table turns.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, and entryway.

• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism and a focus on guest satisfaction.

• Support the Food & Beverage team as needed to enhance the overall dining experience.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first attitude.

• Professional appearance and ability to represent the Wild Dunes Resort service culture.

• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic computer and POS system knowledge preferred.

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work Environment

• Front-of-house restaurant environment with direct guest contact.

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time required.

• Ability to work varying schedules to meet business needs.
