Field Service Technician (Field Service Tech)Hiab USA
We're looking for someone with 4-6 years of experience as a Field Service Technician who thrives in a hands-on, mechanical environment. In this role, you'll be out in the field maintaining and repairing equipment, working directly with customers to ensure their needs are met efficiently and professionally. A strong mechanical background combined with solid hydraulics knowledge will be key to your success. If you're someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys variety in their day-to-day, this could be a great fit.
Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on the following equipment: Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists in line with Manager’s instructions
Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
Staying up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and completing technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager
Respond to customer’s queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction & follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
Keep adequate records, maintain documentation & submit daily reports in the format specified by the District Service Manager
Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System
Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position
Valid Driver’s License is required
No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year time frame. All violations will be reviewed
High School diploma or equivalent is required
5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations
Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Own tools required
Know, understand and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
This position requires 100% travel
