Job Summary and Qualifications

Mammography technologist performs examinations, with protocols as outlined by the Radiologist. Operates diagnostic equipment, verifying images, andpreparesroom with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. The mammography technologistis responsible forselecting proper technical factors, producing diagnostic quality radiographs, safe and competent operation of radiographic equipment, maintaincompliance on all accredited and regulatory requirements. Other duties include, but are not limited to, clerical, scheduling,transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anythingdeemednecessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employeemust have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervisionmeansthe primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.

What qualifications you will need:

• BLS-Healthcare Provider
• (ARRT-R) Radiography or Registry eligible
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• SCRQSA registry licensurerequired
• Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required. BR certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Graduate of an AMA approved Ultrasoundschool.Completed Mammography education, clinicals and ready to sit for MammographyRegistry; MammographyRegistry preferred
• PreviousUltrasound Technologist preferred.
