Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing team. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who enjoys managing core accounting activities, supporting close processes, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role calls for strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and the ability to stay organized while handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Record and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial data across the general ledger.

Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities by organizing supporting schedules and verifying account activity.

Prepare financial reports and reconciliations to help ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

Review general ledger balances, identify inconsistencies, and resolve variances through detailed research.

Assist with audit preparation by gathering documentation and supporting both financial and operational review requests.

Perform bank and account reconciliations to confirm transactions are properly recorded and balanced.

Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related accounting tasks as needed.

Work within accounting systems such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and SAP to process and track financial information. Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience in general accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and close support.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze data efficiently and accurately.

Working knowledge of general ledger activity, financial statement preparation, and account analysis.

Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, or SAP.

Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll support.

Effective time management, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
