Shop TechnicianFluxWorks, Inc.
Job Summary
FluxWorks builds magnetic gears, contactless and lubrication-free drivetrains for aerospace, defense and industrial customers. We are a small team in Conroe, Texas, and the work happens in our shop, every day, in person.
We are hiring a Shop Technician to build, assemble and test magnetic gear hardware alongside our engineers. This is hands-on work. You will be building real hardware that goes into real systems, and you will see the whole product rather than one slice of it.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assemble and disassemble magnetic gear units and test fixtures
- Set up and run tests in our dyno cell, and help capture the data
- Support machining, fabrication and finishing work
- Keep the shop organized, safe and calibrated
- Work directly with engineers to troubleshoot what is not behaving
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and a track record of building or fixing real things
- Comfort with hand tools, measurement and shop equipment
- Care about precision. This is tight-tolerance work.
- Willingness to learn our processes from the ground up
EDUCATION
Trade school, an apprenticeship, a technical certificate or associate degree, military maintenance experience, or simply a strong hands-on record are all welcome. A degree is not required and is not what we screen on.
DETAILS
- Fully on-site in Conroe, Texas, every day. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, normal business hours
- $24 to $28 per hour depending on experience
