Mechanical DrafterFluxWorks, Inc.
Job Summary
We are hiring a Mechanical Drafter at our Conroe, Texas manufacturing facility. FluxWorks designs and builds magnetic gears, contactless gearboxes that transmit torque through magnetic fields instead of meshing teeth.
What you will do
Produce accurate, release-ready SolidWorks models and drawings that clearly communicate design intent to manufacturing, suppliers, and customers. You will own drawing quality, configuration integrity, and document control discipline so our data is traceable through every revision.
Drawing packages
Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models of parts and assemblies in SolidWorks, with complete BOMs and correct GD&T per ASME Y14.5. Build and manage assemblies and configurations so product variants and families stay organized, consistent, and easy to reuse.
Document control and PDM
Manage files, revisions, and release workflows in SolidWorks PDM, including check-in and check-out, revision control, and approvals. Support document control and DCO processes so every released drawing is traceable and the current revision is always the one in use. Maintain drafting standards, templates, title blocks, and reference documents.
Design feedback and collaboration
Review designs for manufacturability, tolerancing, and drawing clarity, and give clear, constructive feedback to engineers. Work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve drawing questions and incorporate redlines quickly.
Where and how you will work
Fully in person at our Conroe facility, Monday through Friday, normal business hours. This is not a remote or hybrid role. Reports to the Director of Operations.
We are collecting resumes at this time. We will review and get back to you shortly if we want to pursue next steps.
