Description

We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join a wholesale distribution organization in South Arlington, Texas and deliver high-impact financial insight that supports business performance. This role focuses on translating financial and operational data into meaningful analysis, strengthening planning activities, and improving reporting quality for leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to build practical tools that help the business make informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

Lead financial planning support by developing budget, forecast, and variance analyses that highlight performance drivers and key changes in results.

Examine operating and financial data to uncover trends, business risks, and areas for improvement or growth.

Create and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs that give stakeholders clearer visibility into company performance.

Partner with internal teams and multiple data sources to assemble relevant information for reporting, planning, and decision support.

Reconcile and validate data across reports and analyses to maintain consistency, accuracy, and confidence in financial outputs.

Contribute to the enhancement of planning and reporting capabilities by helping design new analytical approaches and tools.

Advance efficiency initiatives through automation, standardized reporting practices, and stronger use of technology in financial processes.

Apply AI-enabled solutions and other automation tools to simplify workflows, improve productivity, and strengthen business insights.

Prepare concise, decision-ready analysis and presentation materials for leadership reviews, and document the assumptions and logic behind reporting outputs.

Respond to special analysis requests by gathering information, structuring findings, and delivering timely recommendations informed by business operations.South

Requirements Strong experience in financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance evaluation.

Demonstrated ability to build financial models and conduct detailed variance analysis to explain business results.

Proficiency in ad hoc analysis and data mining techniques to identify patterns, issues, and opportunities.

Experience working with reporting tools, dashboards, and large data sets to support decision-making.

Knowledge of AI strategy and AI-based software applications that improve analytical efficiency and reporting effectiveness.

Ability to verify, reconcile, and interpret data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly to leadership.

Solid understanding of how operational activity influences financial outcomes within a business environment.
