Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260$2,630
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 6:45 a.m.5:15 p.m., MondayFriday, with a rotating day off
• Shifts per Week: 4
• Call Requirement: 78 call shifts per six-week schedule period
• Weekday Call: 5:15 p.m.7:00 a.m. the following morning
• Weekend and Holiday Call: 24-hour coverage
• Work Setting: On-site operating room with 11 surgical suites
• Candidate Eligibility: Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and authorization to practice in Virginia
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong experience in most of the following surgical specialties: robotics, spine, orthopedics, laparoscopic procedures, general surgery, gynecology, urology, and vascular surgery
• Experience caring for patients across all age groups undergoing a variety of surgical procedures
• Travel nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Copy of nursing diploma required for system and point-of-care testing access

Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive perioperative patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery
• Provide safe, effective intraoperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
• Maintain sterile technique and promote strict adherence to patient safety standards
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
• Assist with the preparation, positioning, monitoring, and transfer of surgical patients
• Support timely room turnover and efficient operating room workflow
• Participate in scheduled weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
