We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting a timely close process, and overseeing core accounting activities across cash, payables, expenses, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes and controls.

Responsibilities:

Manage commission-related calculations and payment processing for assigned compensation cycles, ensuring timely and accurate results.

Oversee accounts payable activities, including invoice handling, payment coordination, and maintenance of complete supporting documentation.

Administer corporate credit card expense activity through Brex, review employee submissions for accuracy and compliance, and record related journal entries.

Perform daily cash reconciliations between bank activity and the general ledger, resolving discrepancies and posting adjustments as needed.

Prepare and enter month-end journal entries in Sage Intacct to support an accurate and efficient financial close.

Complete balance sheet reconciliations and accrual reviews, investigating variances and following up on outstanding items.

Support monthly and quarterly tax or regulatory return preparation with accurate financial data and timely submissions.

Assist with annual audit preparation by gathering schedules, reports, and other requested financial information.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function by strengthening procedures, controls, and overall efficiency.

Requirements 5+ years of accounting experience, including substantial responsibility for month-end close activities.

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliation practices.

Experience performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cash-related records.

Hands-on familiarity with Sage Intacct; experience with NetSuite is also valuable.

Demonstrated ability to analyze balance sheet activity, accruals, and month-end financial reporting details.

Working knowledge of accounts payable and employee expense management processes.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
