Join the mission to support U.S. military service members and their families as they work through important military life adjustments while serving their country. The Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) position offers a unique opportunity to serve a vital role, in providing non-medical support, which includes counseling, consultation, and outreach, to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth. Non-medical counseling is preventive in nature and aims to address and provide solution focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges. MFLCs provide crucial mental health support to service members and their families, and when working within SOCOM, their role becomes even more pivotal. MFLCs seeking positions within SOCOM must obtain extra clearances due to the sensitive nature of the work conducted within special forces and the special operations community. Special operations commands operate in high-pressure environments with high-stakes missions, often deploying frequently and facing intense operational demands. Service members within SOCOM are involved in clandestine operations, counterterrorism efforts, and other critical tasks where mental resilience and support are essential. The intense nature of a SOCOM position is felt within the military family as well. Spouses and children are often affected by frequent separations, lack of understanding or ability to know what the service members does day-to-day, and high-stake missions that may result in increased stress or worry for the family. The NISC IV program at Leidos is looking for an Occupational Safety Health Analyst to work in: Longmont, CO; Auburn, WA; or Salt Lake City, UT! The selected candidate will: Take effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state Occupational Safety and Health standard provisions of any labor agreement, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained. Participate in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and in any procedures that may follow a citation. Conduct safety training courses based on work procedures. Primary Responsibilities: This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Western Service Area (WSA) Environmental, Occupational Safety & Health (EOSH) Program, and assist the Safety and Environmental Compliance Managers (SECMs) throughout the Western Service Area’s seven (7) Districts. The candidate will participate in EOSH investigations related to potential accidental releases, mishaps, and employee complaints, as requested by the SECM. Working knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office and MS PowerPoint. The position requires the candidate to travel approximately 25% – 50% in support of the Western Service Area’s seven (7) Districts. Bachelors degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience OR Masters with 2+ years of relevant work experience. Additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted/considered in lieu of degree. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with no breaks). Strongly Preferred Qualifications: Current or prior certification in any of the following areas is a plus: Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Asbestos Contractor/ Supervisor; AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector; Certified Lead Professional; or Lead Inspector/ Risk Assessor. Able to be fit-tested, wear a respirator; and be enrolled in a Respiratory Protection Program (if hired). Able to meet all requirements necessary to climb structures, and complete tasks in support of the Fall Protection Program. Forklift Operator / Forklift Instructor; Aerial Lift Operator / Aerial Lift Instructor; and/or Scissor Lift Operator / Scissor Lift Instructor experience, are desired. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or an Associated Safety Professional is highly desired, but not required. Highly developed presentation skills, comfortable conducting training classes, self-motivated and proactive team player, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
