Amentum is seeking a Configuration Manager Analyst lvl 4 for the Space Force Range Contract  

Typical Duties

Implement hardware (HW) and/or software (SW) Configuration and Data Management activities to meet program contractual requirements as follows:

  • Provides CMDM support and guidance to Integrated Product Team, e.g., Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, etc., from project start to completion
  • Ensure that existing change management and change control processes are strictly enforced throughout the development life cycle
  • Writes and/or reviews all software and hardware change requests submitted for approval to ensure completeness and compliance to specific guidelines and industry best practices 
  • Analyzes product design changes identified in drawings, SW and HW specifications, SW version descriptions and installation instructions, test plans and procedures, technical orders, etc., to determine the effect on the overall product’s baseline and recommend changes as required
  • Leads and provides work assignments to analysts in the areas of configuration and data management, configuration control boards, HWSW verification and software sustainment
  • Prepares Rough Order of Magnitude or Basis of Estimates in support CMDM support and deliverables
  • Trains/mentors analysts in all phases of Engineering project development and required tools and skills to produce project deliverables
  • Supports the development, delivery, and customer review of program documentation/data deliverables and status accounting updates
  • Perform other duties related to providing configuration control for sustainment engineering 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight (8) or more years’ direct experience in a Sustaining or Development Engineering environment
  • Extensive experience with engineering documentation, product structures, and change request/order management in a Configuration/Data Management environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, e.g., Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of materials, components, assemblies, computer, and peripheral hardware designs (parts) – preferred
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, e.g., Windchill or equivalent – preferred.
  • Some extended standing, and/or travel to local and remote sites
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Salary and Other Compensation

  • The annual starting salary for this position is between $75,000 - $95,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Amentum provides warning and all-source analytical support to DIA’s Defense Combating Terrorism Office to drive DoD policy, planning, and operational decisions to counter regional and transnational terrorism threats. We conduct mission-critical counterterrorism analysis focused on operational and strategic effects against emerging terrorist threat networks and identities operating globally with intent to harm U.S. persons, facilities, and interests.

Our work includes delivering national watchlisting support to the TIDE database, providing expert assessments for the Pentagon/Joint Staff, and 24/7/365 support to DoD and senior policy decision makers, as well as international and interagency partners, on predictive threat assessments regarding transnational and regional terrorist threats.  Amentum analysts also support the Congressionally-mandated Prisoner of War/Missing in Action cell with analysis, collection, and 24/7 support to the U.S. government for global hostage threats or events against U.S. citizens.

Work Schedule: First Shift – 8 hours per day

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Systematically and deliberately reviews DoD datasets assessed as likely to contain identifying information for known or suspected terrorists.
  • Identity, prioritize, and record information from known DoD datasets related to known or suspected terrorists as specified by the Government.
  • Crosscheck/research known or suspected terrorists against other intelligence holdings to ensure completeness of information and to avoid duplicating data entries.
  • Compile information into a nomination report format as specified by the Government. Correctly format, classify, and address reports. Ensure information contained within reports is intelligible, cogent, comprehensive, and understandable, and that all reports use proper grammar and spelling.
  • Meet Terrorist Identity Nomination (TIN) production schedule.
  • Correct and resubmit incorrect reports and prepare reports for dissemination as record message traffic or other dissemination methods as specified by the Government.
  • Provide guidance and instruction for less experienced team members assigned to Watchlisting.
  • Demonstrate general knowledge and understanding of IC organizations associated with CT operations, analysis, products, and information systems.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, intelligence exchanges, roundtables, working groups, and other types of analytic exchanges in support or DIA’s Watchlisting mission.
  • Possess general information systems experience working with select DoD datasets and intelligence reporting activities: demonstrate comprehensive mission knowledge in order to provide guidance related to National Terrorist Watchlisting policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of terrorist organizations, to include group names and geographic location, leadership, activities, and ideology.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Watchlist Analyst – Performs all-source intelligence analysis of DoD datasets to identify and nominate known or suspected terrorists into the National Terrorist Watchlisting system. Job duties require that this mechanic: adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. This incumbent supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, may service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, may specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair. This worker may be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration.

Will be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check as well as favorable fingerprints in EQIP.  May be required to complete a SF-85/86 in EQIP as required to maintain possession of a CAC card. Unfavorable background check may result in termination if determination is made you are not eligible for a CAC card.

This is an opportunity to work with the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) in meeting the mission of administering the nation’s lawful immigration system.

Job Description:   

As a Biometric Technician (BT), you will be responsible for supporting the mission of a government program located in Oakland, CA. This position works as a part of a dynamic team of professionals assisting the United States Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) Application Support Center (ASC) operations. Amentum provides all required job training for qualified candidates. This position is an on call (casual) team member.    

On Call (causal) employees are expected to be available all five days, Monday through Friday from the hours of 7:45am to 4:15pm for substitute coverage as needed at the site. This is not a regular Full Time or regular Part Time position; it is a Casual On-Call position. All efforts are made to notify On-Call personnel in advance of the site on call needs, however, occasionally employees are notified the night before or day of.  Interested candidates must meet this availability. In this position, hours are not guaranteed, and employees are on a “as needed” basis so a steady income stream cannot be guaranteed. The On-Call position is a perfect fit for candidates with flexibility, seeking supplemental income and for those who still want to be active in a work environment without a committed schedule.     

Primary Responsibilities are:    

  • Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.     

  • Ensure all who enter the ASC are approved applicants and visitors while providing both interior and exterior crowd control and assisting the staff in enforcing the rules and policies of the ASCs.     

  • Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and on behalf of the United States Government.       

Highlights of Responsibilities:     

It is expected that providing applicants with the highest level of customer service is primary in all responsibilities.  This position must be able to work with the public, display a cheerful and inviting demeanor, smile, manage the applicants with sensitivity, courtesy and ensure the applicant is treated with respect as a customer of the USCIS ASC. Further, personnel must safeguard all areas where Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is vulnerable such as applicant’s paperwork and identifications, electronic biometric data and reports.    

  • Perform quality biometrics processing to include capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within established program-wide processing times.     

  • Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure they have a valid appointment notice and identification allowing their entry into the ASC.    

  • Utilize crowd control barriers (stanchions or rails) to ensure a safe and organized entry into the facility.     

  • Visually inspect applicants and their belongings prior to allowing entry into the facility. During national pandemics or other health crisis, applicants may be asked questions about their status of illness and may be declined entry to the ASC per customer requirements.    

  • Conducting periodic facility checks (both interior and exterior) reporting any concerns to the Site Supervisor to manage.    

  • Assist the Site Supervisor and/or government Immigration Service Officer in calling local law enforcement or first responders when necessary.       

  • Manage and complete with accuracy administrative paperwork such as tracking processing time for applicants, reconciliation paperwork of biometrics captured, assisting in maintaining a visitor control log for non-applicants entering the facility, signing off on facility checks and other administrative duties as needed.     

Required Qualifications:   

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.  

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.    

  • Must be able to speak and write in English.    

  • Ability to stand upright on one’s feet for scheduled shift duration, excluding meals and breaks.    

  • Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain quality fingerprints.    

  • Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.    

  • Ability to type and use basic computer skills.    

  • Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days.     

Desired Skills:   

  • Ability to speak a foreign language.

Typical Duties

  • Develop project definition/acquisition documentation (RFP, SOW/SOO, CDRLs, schedules, cost estimates, etc.) and work with stakeholders to develop technical documentation to support solicitations. 
  • Define the project programmatic requirements to include all aspects of the project lifecycle applicable to each project.  Coordinate with other functional areas as necessary to define all project milestones and objectives.
  • Coordinate and lead the effort to evaluate project proposals taking into account cost, schedule and technical compliance.
  • Assists in the staffing of projects. Organizes project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives. 
  • Manage costs, schedules, and quality by overseeing project execution and deliverables for multiple projects. Analyze project cost, schedule and performance/scope changes and provide recommendations to minimize/mitigate impacts of changes.
  • Identify and track project risks/issues including integration issues between projects. Provide recommendations to resolve conflicts and mitigate risks/issues.
  • Coordinate, monitor and track support for each project from all functional areas and stakeholders.  Ensure timely support is provided and facilitate coordination as needed.
  • Lead the development of the transition/turnover plans and associated documentation, as applicable, for each project
  • Proactively communicate with leadership, customers, and all stakeholders.  Act as the single POC for all aspects of project support.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in project management
  • Experience working with project management methodology such as Catalyst including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices
  • Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
  • Experience working with delivery assurance principles and procedures 
  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Salary and Other Compensation

  • The starting salary range for this position is $105,000 - $118,000/year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
