Position Location: This position is Hybrid in Virginia Hampton Roads area , Must be able to come into office at our corporate office in Virginia Beach, VA several days at a time.
Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Minimum Requirements:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications or related field required
Required: 8 years of experience in Public Relations, Communications or related field
Required: 3 years of leadership experience
Medicaid proposal experience is required
Position Overview:
This is a leadership position on the RFP/Proposal Team. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of proposal professionals in developing and delivering quality, compelling proposals including pre-submission and post-submission processes for RFPs in collaboration with Marketing and Sales team members and subject matter experts throughout the organization.
This individual will focus on ensuring the team represents the health plan through an advanced understanding of the company's mission and vision, community presence, core products and services, and advancements. They will develop and implement continuous content and process improvements and standardization, execute on strategic initiatives, lead professional development, strengthen interpersonal relationships, champion a positive work environment focused on teamwork and integrity, and uphold the internal and external reputation of the team.
In addition to the skills in the job listing, the ideal candidate will have at least 7 years' experience leading Medicaid RFP responses/proposals or similar projects from start to finish; be a proven project manager able to handle multiple complex projects, critical thinker, writer, and editor; be detail-oriented, resourceful, and collaborative; thrive under strict deadlines; and be dedicated to serving and advocating for team members.
