Lincoln Group has partnered with a client in the injection molding industry in search of a Junior Sales Engineer to join their team! The Junior Sales Engineer will work with both customers and potential customers to facilitate the sales process and request, secure, and prepare formal quotations. This position manages the quotation phase with the goal of earning new business. The Cost Estimator will report to the Customer Relations Manager. Type of Hire: Direct Hire

Software: ERP system knowledge such as Syteline, IQMS, SAP, or Sage

Location: Centennial, CO

Work Schedule: Full-time, in office (7:30 4:30 M-F)

Compensation: $70K - $85K/year

Responsibilities

  • Receives RFQs from existing and potential customers
  • Maintains customer records using automated systems including Salesforce and IQMS
  • Identifies prospective customers through business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations, and/or attending trade shows and conferences
  • Develops sales estimates, including the collection of all actual and estimated costs for a sales opportunity
  • Acts as the first customer interface for all commercial communications
  • Follows up directly with the customer during the entire sales cycle
  • Makes recommendations on pricing and margins based on knowledge of the potential sales account
  • Develops relationships with customers to promote a company, and leverages that relationship to aid in award wins
  • Prepares Cost Breakdown sheets in customer-requested format
  • Logs RFQs, updates Sales Opportunity reports, and maintains Key Performance Indicators
  • Conducts feasibility reviews with engineering, production, and quality departments to ensure quoting parameters, raw materials, and customer requirements are met
  • Requests raw material quotes from suppliers and meets with suppliers to review quotes
  • Prepares electronic bids via customer portals
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings with existing/potential customers
  • Assists Customer Service and Accounting departments with pricing discrepancies
  • Review initial Purchase Orders with Customer Service to ensure the accuracy of pricing and terms
  • Notifies departments of newly awarded business
  • Generates Electronic Project Folders, tooling summaries, and BOM checklists
  • Completes customer capacity spreadsheets and any other forms required by the customer.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or higher
  • 3-5 years minimum experience as a full-charge sales specialist or equivalent job experience
  • Dependable and self-motivated, strong team player, friendly, and patient
  • Organized, thorough and detail-oriented, and excellent time management skills
  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills and the ability to learn new software and computer-based systems
