The Find your Flex Group are delighted to be working with partners who are seeking a passionate Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at TA Instruments. As a leading provider of analytical instruments, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional solutions to our clients. This position will be based in either Detroit, Ann Arbor, or Lansing, with travel required across Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the sales efforts for TA Instruments' thermal analysis, rheology, microcalorimetry, and thermophysical systems within the assigned territory, targeting R&D labs, QC labs, government, and academic laboratories.

Conduct regular visits to customer sites to deliver sales presentations, demonstrate instruments, and provide training.

Actively pursue new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key accounts.

Utilize various communication channels such as email, social media, and phone to engage potential customers, forwarding relevant information to the designated territory sales representative.

Collaborate closely with TA Sales Representatives, Inside Sales team, and Regional Applications staff to strategize leads and enhance sales efforts.

Maintain an updated customer/contact database to facilitate marketing material distribution.

Represent company products and services at product-related technical shows and other marketing events.

Provide accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts.

Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field. PhD preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in capital equipment sales, with prior exposure to thermal, rheology, microcalorimetry, or thermophysical properties highly desirable.

Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proactive responsiveness to both internal and external stakeholders.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including effective telephone etiquette and professional email correspondence.

Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with a diverse customer base.

Proficiency in prioritizing activities to meet sales targets, with excellent time and territory management skills.

Travel Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and credit card.

Ability to travel extensively by ground and air, with an estimated 80-90% travel commitment.
