Job DescriptionFreight SpecialistADM FertilizerLocation: Overland Park, KSThis is a full time, exempt position.Job DescriptionThe qualified individual will be responsible for all truck sourcing and execution of delivered fertilizer contracts in the region. This person will work in tandem with multiple fertilizer sales managers regarding customer needs, timelines, truck capacity, outlook, and overall execution of our fertilizer delivered business within the territory. The individual will work cross functionally with other business units to assist with overall commodity movement within the area.Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or agriculture, or equivalent experience, supplemented with minimum of one to three years inside/outside sales experience.Demonstrate capacity to evaluate and manage risk, along with understanding of how to conduct professional sales calls with carriers, customers, and suppliers.Basic understanding of logistics pertaining to bulk commodity moves.Commitment to be a positive & professional team leader and co-worker.Ability to function effectively, both independently and in group settingsStrong analytical abilities, initiative and problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentEffective oral and written communication skills as well as ability to interface with various levels within ADMProficiency in using Microsoft Office suite including Outlook and PowerPointProficient in the use and application of mobile technology and ADM sanctioned social mediaStrong organizational and time-management skillsEarly adopter of new technology and ability to lead and influence other target usersResponsibilities Champion all delivered freight needs and execution within the territoryProvide leadership and education of freight markets to ADM team stakeholdersBe a total team player with all fertilizer sales managers in the regionWork with vendors, suppliers, customers, etc. to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries related to equipment types and delivery schedules.Provide analysis and input into further development and success of ADMExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
