Job Description
Power House Resources is currently retained by a Global Compressor OEM for the following Permanent Position.

Title: After-Market Service Engineer

Start: ASAP

Location: La Porte Texas

Relocation: None

Salary: $70,000.00

Position Summary

The Aftermarket Sales Engineer will manage a region of accounts in the US/Canada and/or other international regions. He/she will be responsible for maximizing sales revenue with existing customers and developing new customers. This position will involve a high degree of sales strategies and planning. This role is suited to a confident and organized sales professional who identifies new markets, develops and manages sales objectives in support of the Corporate revenue plans. The candidate should have a good understanding of selling After Sales products, which includes spare parts, shop repairs and field services, as well as system modifications and upgrades of an installed base of process gas compressor systems and packages, comprising of screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, filter systems, lubrication systems, motors, control systems, etc. This position has substantial

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

1. Capable of handling multiple tasks and working in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct guidance and supervision.

2. Able to act with a very strong sense of urgency and be self-motivated

3. Strong drive for results.

4. Ability to work with customers at all levels, including Maintenance, Operators, Engineers, and Management. Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly, present solutions and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.

5. Able to produce effective reports, forecasts and presentations

6. Able to present data to multiple levels of the organization to support decision-making

7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

8. Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

9. Comfortable manipulating data, and using Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

10. Fluent in English. Other languages a plus.

Requirements

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

1. B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, etc.) and/or Business or combined education and experience.

2. 3 - 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing or Business Development.

3. Experience in Oil & Gas, Powergen, Refinery, and/or Petrochemical industries.

4. Previous engineering/technical experience with gas compressors or rotating equipment desirable.

5. Highly organized, self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as work with in a team atmosphere.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

1. General office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

2. Able to handle demanding environments to meet client timelines and commitments.

3. Some travel is required for customer meetings and plant environments, including refineries, chemical, and power plants.
