Skookum is seeking a detail-oriented Freight Specialist. This individual is responsible for tracking and processing all outbound freight.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Validate and submit a Commercial Bill of Landing (CBL).
Work closely with the customer to ensure all shipping information is in compliance with DoD 4500.9-R standards.
Ability to schedule timely pick-up and delivery of Cargo from original destination to final destination IAW DoD 4500.9-R.
Provide accurate shipping status to the customer when requested.
Operate forklift(s), stage outgoing packages, and load pallets.
Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment
Meet required delivery reports to supervisor and or ITO on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
Qualifications:

Minimum of three (3) years of Freight Specialist/ Transportation experience preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Freight Haz Mat certificate (AMMO-62) of training.
Working knowledge of associated STAMIS systems and commercial systems (Power Track, CMOS, TC-AIMS, SYNCADA, etc.)
Working knowledge of Army Regulations and 4500.9-R FAR.
Requirements:

A Valid State Drivers license is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookums insurance company.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position.
