Position Location: Austin, TX (preferred) or Alpharetta, GA or Minneapolis, MN

NOTE: This position is required to be in-office 4 days a week with 1 day remote. This is not a fully remote position.

The Opportunity

The Pricing Center of Excellence group is actively recruiting for a Sr. Strategic Pricing & Infrastructure Analyst in the Austin, TX or Alpharetta, GA office. You’ll leverage new technology to develop key business insight tools, while collaborating with functional groups across Abbott’s Medical Devices Division on new product launches and projects.

What You’ll Work On

  • Building MS Power BI dashboards that provide key business insights to assist senior leadership in strategic decision making.
  • Driving the development of new processes and procedures aimed at supporting Abbott’s financial goals and analytical capabilities.
  • Partnering with various functional groups on division wide customer pricing studies and actions.
  • Developing financial models in support of customer deal evaluation (e.g., price impact on gross and net revenue, novel pricing structures, and margin impact analysis).
  • Supporting the strategic planning and operational execution of new medical device product launches.
  • Managing pre and post product launch analytics (e.g., customer pricing, segmentation, and sales reporting).
  • Analytical support for the various functional groups and analysts within the Medical Devices division.
  • Developing, customizing, and maintaining various SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) solutions to ensure new and existing database tables, functions, views, and the data they contain are accurate.
  • Creating technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to cross train peers and ensure adequate back-up/coverage.
  • Product Life Cycle Management (PLC) of products slated for retirement (e.g., Act as Business Unit advisor on process and implications, management of removal from internal analytical tools, and stakeholder notification).
  • Travel: 10%.

 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or an equivalent combination of a related degree field and experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area.
  • MS Power BI proficient (data modeling & visualization).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and SQL Server.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel (Functions, Power Query, VBA etc.) and the MS Office Suite.
  • Database management experience (Azure/On-Prem/SSIS).
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with attention to detail and ability to work with general supervision and direction.
  • Strong quantitative & qualitative analysis skills, including experience working with large data sets.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to problem solve when working on complex and in some instances ambiguous projects.
  • Project planning & management experience.

       Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Business Administration (MBA), Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Extensive MS Power BI data modeling and visualization experience.
  • Experience using Salesforce and SAP to extract data.
  • Medical Device or Diagnostics industry experience.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
