What you will do?

Under general direction, provides complete analysis of materials availability, directs planners to schedules production lines according to customer requirements which supports production continuity and customer satisfaction.  Balances finish goods inventory to mitigate excess and/or shortages. Coordinates shortages of raw material with purchasing to avoid line down situations and meet customer demand.

Comply with the guidelines and regulations of Environmental Health & Safety.

How you will do it?

  • Supervises  production lines schedulling according to customer requirements, materials availability, and line capacity.

  • Analyzes demand trend and suggests PSI Lead modifications and changes to forecast load.

  • Keeps open communications with sales, marketing, and engineering, production, and customer service departments and performs daily review of production plan vs. Sales, as well as EC’s.

  • Supervises Production Planner’s preparation of production plan, shortage arrivals, new or urgent orders schedule, review schedule accuracy, propose changes when necessary, and update on a weekly basis according to customer demand.

  • Communicates changes or proposed changes to Materials Manager, Production Manager and production supervisor’s.

  • Creates projected inventory plan which will meet company and plant inventory goals based on customer demand and materials arrivals.

  • Develops production plan in alignment with the PSI.

  • Develop the Master Production schedule aligned with Symix and auto-replenish systems to insure proper material demand and review weekly for inaccuracies.

  • Tracks daily inventory levels of finished goods and adjust schedules as needed to meet fiscal plan.

  • Ensures timely and proactive communication with customers regarding order status.

  • Develops MPS/PSI production plan for the plant.

  • Participate in risk management, which includes the identification of failure modes, hazards and environmental aspects, their respective assessment and the definition and implementation of controls.

  • Participate in incident and nonconformity investigations as well as in the determination of the necessary corrective actions.

  • Active participation in plant programs such as SafeTrack observations, suggestion box, Employee Idea System, LPA and 6S audits.

  • Participate in the training program of the plant attending trainings as scheduled and, when required, acting as internal instructor.

  • Comply with the documented procedures, instructions, and standards of the Integrated Management System and, when required, participate in their review and improvement.

  • Identify and report any injury or potential injury and any potential environmental impact.

  • Identify and intervene to correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior

  • Identify and intervene to correct unsafe and off standard conditions, when immediate correction is not possible report to direct manager or to the corresponding department.

  • Review and prevent the consequences of all actions before any activity and apply the Stop Work policy when needed.

  • Perform every activity considering the requirements of the Integrated Management System to contribute to the achievement of its objectives and to fulfill the Quality Policy and the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations management) with experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support.

  • 5 years of related experience.

  • At least two years as supervisor preferably in a supply chain role. (must)

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal (bilingual).

  • Experienced, working in a fast paced high volume manufacturing environment.

  • Lean manufacturing knowledge.

  • Responsible, well organized, immediate response to all internal and external custom

  • APICS Certification preferred or expected to be obtained from individuals in this role.

  • Requirement for ERP SAP.
