Technical Support Engineer for Fire Detection and Alarm Systems - Military veterans preferred

What you will do

The position of technical support engineer for fire detection and alarm systems reports to the technical support regional supervisor. You will be based in JCI Istanbul office Turkey and support sales growth initiatives in the Turkish and Caspain region by providing technical support and training services for the complete Johson control global prodcts fire detection systems porfolio including PAVA systems (Simplex, Zettler, Fireclass) including various typyes of systems such as addressble, conventional fire detection and alarm systems with associated products  including relevant acessories.

You will be in direct contact with system partners, commissioing enginers and endusers . As a member of the technical support and sales engineering team, you will collaborate closely with other departments including sales, customer service, inside sales, marketing, training and R&D.

How you will do it

As  technical support engineer, you will provide product support to customers and sales teams. You will support the full product range from JCI Global fire detection products, using  Jcompan prodiced software tools to provide solution on site or to assist customer requirement.

• Record technical support cases utilising software systems Salesforce.
• Support customer sales or design teams as well Johnson controls regionall sales team.  Support cases from other regions when required.
• Technical training: General technical and commissioning traning to new partners in FA / PAVA. Yearly or on-demand trainings for all partners new and existing engineers
• Specific on-demand trainings for other products in the range
• Site visit to installations when required.
• Following up on product returns as required to support QA process.
• Document translation when required to ensure the correct context of documents

Product specific taining will be provided to support constant personal proffesional development.

You will  communicate with consultants, designers, project managers, and end users. You will not only provide application services and technical support of fire detectionad and PAVA system solutions, but also advice and support projects by applying solutions according international codes & standards (such as EN, BS, NFPA, UL)

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/electronics or relivant experience in the fire detection industry
• Minimum 2 years working experience in fire detection industry
• Excellent working knowledge of fire and voice alarm design installation standards including EN54-14/BS5339/ NFPA 72
• Have good verbal and written command of the English language.
• Problem-solver, with an bility to work under own direction with personal resposibility
• General awareness of currents industry trends
• Understanding of and the application of EN and UL standards in regards to fire detection products
• General awareness of the relevant building standards and code of practice relvant to the region
• Solid business communication skills, with an ability to report movements and meeting notes
• Training skills with a ability to create own presentation and present those prepare by others,  relvant to he subject matter as required
• Ability to identify need for and develop, processes and supporting materials
• Well-versed in MS Office, Salesforce, in company own or 3rd party diagnostics tools
• Willingness to travel
