Use your experience in acquisitions management to oversee the planning and execution of assigned program work and provide support to senior acquisition officials.
This Program Manager position is with the Immediate Office of the Executive Assistant Commissioner, Acquisition Portfolio Management Directorate, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Upon selection, you will be able to negotiate your assignment to one of the following locations: Washington, DC; Indianapolis, IN; Minneapolis, MN; Atlanta, GA; Tampa, FL; San Juan, PR; San Diego, CA; Oklahoma City, OK; or Euless, TX.
***Eligibility: Veterans with VEOA eligibility; current federal employees with competitive status; and current and former Land Management employees who meet the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act.
In this position, duties may include but are not limited to:
- Managing the triple constraints of cost, schedule, and performance; long-range planning for acquisition programs; acquisition program budget and financial management; program execution; risk management; and monitoring contractor performance.
- Serving as Acquisition Program Manager and/or Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned acquisition projects.
- Representing the assigned program and conducting briefings attended by technical and functional personnel and high-ranking government and industry officials to explain new or contemplated developments, accomplishments, and acquisition program status.

Salary and Benefits
This position starts at a salary of $122,198.00 (GS-14, Step 1) with promotion potential to $158,860.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
- Leading internal working groups (i.e., Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)) that conduct acquisition-related processes and procedures.
- Gathering and organizing operational requirements from key stakeholders.
- Managing, coordinating, and integrating the functions and activities of a program office and/or matrix staff personnel assigned to a program to oversee the planning and execution of activities and provide staff support on various aspects of standard project or program management.
- Presenting, explaining, and defending standard program management issues and directions to higher-level organizational leadership and interested public groups on issues involving executive decisions, guidance, laws, policies, and regulations.
