Job Summary
The primary duty of the Electrical Engineering Intern is to work under the daily direction of the electrical design team. As time and opportunity allow, the intern will also assist with Wagstaff equipment testing as needed.
Wagstaff, Inc. is offering an internship in our Automated Systems Group department. This opportunity provides practical work experience to students planning for careers in electrical engineering. This internship has the flexibility to be either full-time or part-time on a temporary basis for approximately three months. A continuation of employment, during the school year on a part-time basis may be considered. Candidates may be considered for a regular full-time position upon graduation; however, successful completion of the internship does not guarantee an offer of regular full-time employment with Wagstaff.

Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job on Wagstaff premises, work is performed primarily in an adequately lit, well ventilated, general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.
This job may require occasional or more frequent interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor. While on the shop floor, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of moving equipment and parts, and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with shop floor managers/employees may be necessary before entering the shop floor, and of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required on the shop floor. The noise level on the shop floor is often loud.
