Pay Range

$117,200.00-$175,800.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

The Primary Purpose of the Senior SAP BW/4HANA Developer works as a member of the BI/BW development team and is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, modifying, testing, and implementing Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse (BI/BW) deliverables and supporting the production business intelligence platforms. This role is also assigned development items.

Your Day to Day:

  • Evaluate, interpret and understand Functional and technical specifications for complex development
  • Construct Technical Specification for a solution design which will meet or exceed the functional requirements as described in the Functional Specification
  • Develop (build) the design as described in the Technical Specification in both a legacy BI/BW system and in the BW/4HANA system
  • Design, build and execute data extracts and create objects and mappings from SAP ECC, SRM, SCM
  • Create generic extracts (Function Modules/BADIs) to support customization in ODS and InfoCube objects
  • Document data flows from extract to presentation layer
  • Monitor production loads and conduct root cause analysis for all load failures
  • Document and conduct unit and system testing as it pertains to new BI/BW and BW/4HANA development and maintenance
  • Perform data quality analysis and data cleansing
  • Provide input and recommendations for technical issues and process improvements
  • Address business unit requests and clearly communicate commitments, issues, completion dates and status with the requestor and with management
  • Design and implement security for global information delivery within SAP BI/BW and BW/4HANA
  • Perform peer code reviews of team member solutions
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all technical and functional teams
  • Provide technical consulting to internal customers and functional SME (subject matter experts)
  • Design, Build and Maintain BW/4HANA objects using LSA++ architecture
  • Analyze and tune system performance issues as they are encountered
  • Troubleshoot and Support BW and BW/4HANA landscape

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of SAP Business Intelligence development experience with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 or higher (architecture and toolsets) in a n-tier, BW on HANA, multi-system environment;
  • 3+ years of experience working with BW/4HANA
  • Excellent understanding of data warehouse concepts and strategies
  • Excellent understanding of data extracts, report design and report development.
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with Design, Build and Maintain CDS Views and AMDP
  • Experience with Design, Build and Maintain SAP HANA Calculation views
  • Experience with Design, Build and Maintain ODP data sources, Advance DSOs, composite providers
  • Demonstrated ability to work in SLT and SDI
  • Excellent understanding of databases and database concepts
  • Experience with Design, Build and Maintain Process Chains
  • Strong commitment to maintain data integrity.
  • Proven track record for working effectively with both technical and business functions
  • Experience with data extraction from multiple SAP environments, including ECC, SRM, SCM, TM, etc.
  • Experience in data integration methods from non-SAP legacy databases
  • Experience working with Analysis for Office (AAO/BOBJ) and third party reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau
  • Demonstrated ABAP development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand legacy BW modelling and Redesign/Model/Build in optimized way in BW4HANA
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage data temperatures (hot, warm and cold)
  • Good understanding of HANA Security
  • Basic understanding of SAP Analytics and Cloud Platform
  • Strong transport management skills within/between different SAP applications
  • Strong load performance analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multi-divisional business communities to leverage information across the enterprise
  • Experience with providing internal consulting, recommendations and end user education
  • Experience across all phases of software development cycles
  • Experience working in a structured development environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment under aggressive timelines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds
  • Minimal travel required (0 -10 days per year)
