Retail Sales Associate (Part Time)
Utilizes point of sale system to complete sales transactions and processes exchanges and returns. Designs appealing store displays, replenishes stock items, and inventories stock and sales areas. Adheres to loss prevention policies. Delivers effective customer service and fulfills order requests.
Business, Hospitality, and Auxiliary Services is seeking a qualified Sales Associate for the University Stores. Primary location will be The University Store on Fifth, but the employee will be expected to rotate/support all stores.
Duties of the incumbent include, but are not limited to:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Fulfilling e-commerce orders and staffing delivery options at the pick-up window and curbside pickup
- Merchandising, recording information, restocking
- Researching and processing special orders and cashiering
- Assisting with physical inventory
- Facilitating timely/accurate product return
- Placing phone inquiries to publishers and vendors
- Extra work hours are required to assist with Rush, graduation fair, “March Madness," and other events, as necessary.
Good writing, spelling, math, & computer data entry skills are necessary. Exceptional customer service skills, familiarity with all University Store departments and duties, and the ability to work well with others is a must. This role will work up to 22.5 hours per week, with some the possibility of working required additional hours and overtime to support Store events.
