Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform data analysis on large data sets to prepare and develop business decisions
  • Provide insight into observed business outcomes through analytics
  • Use math, statistics, and analytical techniques to develop predictive models
  • Identify areas where advanced statistical techniques would be most useful


Qualifications

Special Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills & desire to work in a team
  • Good communication skills – ability to explain the “how” and “why” of what you’re doing to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences

Experience:

  • We’re looking for someone pursuing a BS or MS degree in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, computer science, data science, mathematics) with the following experience:
  • Manipulating data sets and building statistical models
  • Coding knowledge and experience with common programming languages (C++, Java, JavaScript, etc)
  • Experience in statistical and data mining techniques (GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, etc)
  • Experience querying datasets and using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.)
  • Experience using web services (Redshift, S3, Glue, etc)
  • Experience working with Data visualization tools (Power BI, QuickSight, etc.)
