Job duties for the Senior Continuous Improvement Consultant position include:

  • Partnering with executives and managers in executive offices and service units to design and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enable increased organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Performs a wide range of activities associated with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conducting research and analysis in developing processes that assist client departments in self-assessment and countermeasure generation.
  • Facilitating cross functional agency projects and strategic planning events. Leads teams through improvement activities including LEAN events, data analysis, development of new processes or SOPs, and benchmarking methods.
  • Providing leadership to UTA CI Team members on projects, as a mentor, and via CI and Culture training.
  • Conducting Continuous Improvement module training for users throughout the organization.
  • Identifying and redefining performance measurements and goals.
  • Ensuring improved performance of UTA by supporting and enabling large scale initiatives impacting UTAs organizational effectiveness.
  • Working closely with People Office leadership to design optimal solutions for organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implementing and engraining the UTA Way into daily work activities, training content and culture initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Bachelors degree in STEM field, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field. Masters Preferred..
  • Training in LEAN and/or Shingo.
  • LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Coaching/mentoring credentials preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint and presenting virtually preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Five years experience of process/continuous improvement and/or organizational effectiveness strategy
  • Minimum of five years project management experience including coordinating and managing large projects/teams, follow up, completion, and implementation.
  • Five years of cross functional team facilitation.
  • Minimum of 3 years training and presenting. Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience using problem solving techniques and business analysis tools critical to continuous improvement processes required , such as LEAN, Shingo, Value Stream Mapping, Conflict Management, Strategic Planning, and SWOT Analysis.
  • Experience in organizational survey methods preferred.
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and advocate for business recommendations and financial solutions. Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and oral) skills.

Pay Rate: $79,000 annually based upon experience
