Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented IT Category Leader to join our Strategic Sourcing team. If you have a passion for strategic IT sourcing, a track record of building strong partnerships with internal business units, and a drive to optimize IT sourcing strategies, we invite you to apply. As the Strategic Sourcing Category Leader (IT), you will play a pivotal role in our strategic sourcing function. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies that not only optimize IT costs but also enhance partnerships with internal IT teams. You will lead cross-functional IT teams and foster collaboration to achieve our IT sourcing objectives.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Sourcing Strategy, Supplier Management, and Contract Negotiation:

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to gain a deep understanding of their technology goals, initiatives, and sourcing needs.
  • Develop and execute IT sourcing strategies that align with IT objectives while optimizing IT costs and supplier relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers, focusing on collaboration, innovation, and performance improvement in IT service delivery.
  • Implement IT supplier performance metrics, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high-quality service levels.
  • Lead contract negotiations with IT suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements while mitigating risks.
  • Ensure that all IT contracts align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including renewal, amendments, and dispute resolution.

Cross-Functional IT Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, legal, and other stakeholders, to ensure IT sourcing needs are met and integrated into broader IT plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between strategic sourcing and internal IT teams, facilitating open communication and partnership-building.

Cost Optimization, Risk Management, and Governance:

  • Determine, implement, and track strategic and operational IT KPIs, including governance metrics, that align with IT objectives and focus areas.
  • Define, execute, and measure an IT cost optimization plan for all IT spending categories.
  • Identify and mitigate IT sourcing risks, develop and implement IT risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and IT supplier risk assessments.
  • Manage IT governance and third-party risk management framework, proactively identifying IT risks and providing oversight and guidance.

Supplier Diversity and Sustainability:

  • Support initiatives to promote IT supplier diversity and sustainability in the IT sourcing process.
  • Identify opportunities to engage with diverse IT suppliers and encourage sustainability practices throughout the IT supply chain.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field. (Master's degree preferred).

Required Skills and Experience: 10+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management. Strong negotiation skills and experience with IT contract management. Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with internal IT teams.

Deep understanding of IT sourcing best practices, market trends, and supplier landscape. Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Preferred skills and experience: Certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or CIPS are a plus.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $118,533 - $134,000 annually and will be based on a number ofadditional factors, including skills, experience, and education.
