Metrology Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
â?¢ Performs the measurements necessary for metrology development verification or demanding special skill level for the equipment operation.
â?¢ Cooperates with maintenance engineering in maintaining documentation related to metrology equipment such as drawings, manuals, and upgrade documents. Writes process procedures or work instructions or software manuals when applicable.
â?¢ Leads activities for one or more of the following functions: Test & Measurement Control System, Standards and Correlation, Analytical Lab, Product Design Review, Quality Systems, Contract Review or Competitor Product Benchmarking.
â?¢ Participates in training metrology equipment specialists, technicians, and operators.


Education and Skills Required:
â?¢ B.S. degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences, or Professional Engineering registration or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
â?¢ Knowledge of Design of Experiment and SPC required.
â?¢ Experience performing and analyzing Gauge R&R studies.
â?¢ Experience with metrology systems like 4-point probe, FTIR measurement, or SP1 preferred.
â?¢ Experience with CR-8x, Lazer Inspection tools, or Dimensional Inspection tools preferred.

This position is an on-site position with an annual salary range from $70,000.00, to $80,000.00 depending on education and experience.
