WORK LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

SALARY RANGE: $75,357- $105,000

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer is an experienced level position requiring a minimum of 4 years in one or more of the following areas: Configuration Management, Supplier Management, Audits, Inspection techniques (non-destructive, electronics, mechanical), or Manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Designing quality standards
  • Inspecting materials, equipment, processes and products
  • Developing quality control systems
  • Determining corrective actions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:

  • Degree in Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in aerospace standards AS9100, ISO-9001, and its general practices.
  • Developing and implementing new or revised quality and control standards.
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Excel in Root Cause and Corrective Action process.
  • Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Excellent Customer interface skills.
  • Familiarity with calibration processes and documentation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610 certifications.
  • Working in a cleanroom environment
  • Working knowledge of optics and cameras
  • Working knowledge of ESD requirements and practices.
  • Electrical and electronic inspection processes.
  • Working knowledge of GSE systems and general associated equipment.
